APPLE SAUCE (Dr. Meats, Holiday Market, Royal Oak, Mi.)
3 qt. sliced, cored peeled apples (Fiji, Granny Smith, Pink Lady and Northern Spy) Add 1 1/2 c. water, 1/4 c. brown sugar and 1/4 c. sugar. Put in pot, cover and cook on high for 8 minutes. Add 1 t. cinnamon. Mash apples with an electric mixer to the consistency you like. Try them with the skins on.
